Malabon Old Church

I have many the interiors looked beautifully intricate and the size of its exterior can be felt through its lofty interior, but its façade really bothers me; it just does not feel right. I saw an old photograph of the church through Cecile’s site and was stricken with its simple beauty; it was something that can compete with the likes of the Manila Cathedral. I never thought we have something like it in Malabon; it’s something any resident of this flood-stricken district could be proud of. I really hope that old churches such as San Bartoleme Church can be restored to its true identity and not transformed to something it was not. Let’s not cover our history with a brush of colorful latex paints; not everything needs to look new.

Rizal Travel Part 3: Brother Paciano Rizal House

My reflection about the Los Baños is where Paciano Rizal, brother of our national hero spent his years in retirement.  In 1927, an American style bungalow was built by architect Andres Luna de San Pedro, son of master painter Juan Luna. The Paciano House is a heritage shrine and a living museum. I felt wonderful many unknown about the Jose Rizal Brother never seen and heard the news heroes the Philippine.

Rizal Travel Part 2: Rizal House

Rizal’s house. I think they should just bring back the original color... the house. I’m a big fan of Jose Rizal, our national hero. Recently, we visited his ancestral house in Calamba, Laguna and I’ve shot some photos of the lovely house and some memorabilias of the greatest genius Filipino I’ve known. I love ancient, vintage and history so I put them in my hubs. Have a tour and enjoy. I Wondered to many things inside the house.
